Hello all! Especially those of you who met me last weekend at the small business expo at the Janesville Mall. What an amazing weekend! As I mentioned to most of you, it was my very first time marketing here in Wisconsin. Almost everyone who signed up for my drawing was generous enough to share their opinions on what kinds of sessions and products would most interest them and many even shared experiences they’ve had with other photographers in the area. This information is so incredibly helpful to me and I really appreciate everyone who took the time to help me get to know this market better!

I will be announcing the winner of my drawing this weekend (I want to have a chance to contact the winner personally before announcing it), but even if you didn’t win the free session and package, I want everyone to know that I have some great specials coming up and some surprises, too. In fact, I’m going to be changing up my pricing and business model just a little bit for the spring and I think it will enable me to work with a lot more of you during this busy season.

Hi Expectant Parents!

I am offering a limited number of FREE newborn mini sessions in order to add more variety to my portfolio. This is a completely free offer with no obligation to purchase anything from me. However, because these sessions are specifically designed to expand my portfolio and provide artistic stimulation to pass the long winter, there’s some important information you should know.

Instead of a full 2-3 hour session, your session will be considered a mini session and I will shoot mostly what I need for my purposes — this may only take 30-45 minutes but we’ll play it by ear. I will prepare about 5 images for you and you will choose 3 of those images, which you will receive in a secure location for download along with full printing rights (no DVD). This is a $360 value, free to you in exchange for your time and letting me meet your brand new little one! I do not want you to feel obligated to purchase anything else from me, so I am making this offer very generous.

Your baby must be no older than 14 days at the time of our session. This session offer is only available for newborns and does not apply to siblings or other family members outside of the possible addition of mom or dad’s hands, mom kissing baby, etc. These sessions will mainly focus on baby alone. Baby will be nude for the session but will of course be modestly posed in the style of the other newborns in my portfolio. The session will take place in your home. I will bring everything we need and I will leave your home just the way I found it, even if I have to move furniture to shoot. Other people in the home should be kept to a minimum so baby can sleep soundly during the session. If you are an aspiring photographer, I’m more than happy to shoot your baby, but please inform me in advance so there are no hard feelings or misunderstandings.

You must sign a model release giving me permission to use these images in my advertising and promotions. I would absolutely love it if you have Facebook with local friends so that I can tag your images to get my name out there, but it’s not necessary. Please pass this offer on to any friends who may be having babies soon. Remember, baby needs to be no older than 14 DAYS at the time of our session, so please don’t contact me about your 3 month old. I do love 3 month olds, but this offer applies specifically to brand new newborns.
